Laser Surgery
- Omnilight™
Utilizing the revolutionary Omnilight™ Fluorescent Pulsed Light system, Dr Lain is able to treat a variety of skin conditions effectively and with little downtime. Through technology such as the Advanced Pulsed Light formation and rapid epidermal cooling, the Omnilight™ offers excellent results with low risk of side effects. Furthermore, Dr Lain has extensive experience with multiple types of lasers and pulsed light systems; your safety, comfort, and treatment success are our primary concerns.
Discomfort is minimal, but topical numbing creams are offered to all patients to enhance your comfort during the procedure.

Photodamage
Years of sun exposure take a toll on your skin. Brown spots, redness, and wrinkling are often the result. Dr Lain offers a series of treatments, termed a Photofacial, to treat this damage and rejuvenate the look and feel of your skin. The package consists of 5 treatments, with each treatment spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
Facial Redness
Most commonly caused by Rosacea, facial redness usually consists of small, broken blood vessels (known as telangiectasias) on the cheeks, nose and chin, along with a persistent background flushing of the skin. The Omnilight&trade uses patented filters to target the blood vessels and make them disappear, without causing damage to the surrounding tissue. This translates into greater treatment success and lower risk of side effects. Most patients will need 2-3 treatments to achieve the desired results.
Pigmented Lesions
Benign brown spots, be they freckles, sun spots, liver spots, or moles, are effectively treated with the Omnilight&trade. By selectively targeting the pigment in these lesions, the Omnilight&trade is able to heat the pigment to such a temperature as to cause breakdown and dispersion. This at least lightens, and usually erases the lesions after a few treatment sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart. This is a wonderful treatment for brown spots anywhere on your body, including your hands!
Acne and Scarring
Acne is a multifactorial disease, meaning there are many different factors, acting together, that cause red acne bumps and black heads. The Omnilight&trade is able to target the most important of these factors, including acne bacteria, sebaceous gland hyperactivity, and inflammation. By killing the bacteria, decreasing gland activity (and oil production), and minimizing inflammation, the Omnilight&trade allows you to gain excellent control of your acne!
Omnilight&trade therapy may be combined with photodynamic therapy to obtain a sustained response. Photodynamic
therapy (PDT) involves the use of a chemical that is activated by the light of the Omnilight&trade and enhances the effectiveness of the treatment. PDT is not for everyone, so ask Dr Lain at your initial consultation if this is the right treatment for you.
Like acne, persistently red and inflamed scars are also effectively treated with the Omnilight&trade.
Permanent Hair Reduction
By targeting and destroying the cells that are responsible for hair growth deep in the hair follicles, the Omnilight™ permanently reduces the appearance of unwanted hair anywhere on your body. Commonly treated areas include the upper lip, between the eyebrows, cheeks, back, chest, bikini area, legs, arms, and underarms. Multiple treatments are required at 6-8 week intervals. Packages are available. |
